Our Mission
Through the sharing of our members’ gifts and talents we strive to provide academic support and enrichment to home school families, which would enhance a parent’s effort to educate their children, by offering quality classes in a Christian environment.
At FAITH we believe that when a family chooses to home school that they are embarking on one of the most challenging and rewarding endeavors they may experience. We want to come alongside a family’s efforts to support, encourage and supplement their home school. While at FAITH you will find academic classes that can alleviate some of the parental teaching, we firmly believe that the parents maintain the responsibility to control, oversee and guide their child’s education.
We believe that by cooperating together in the sharing of our members’ gifts and talents all of our students will reap the rewards of receiving instruction that their own parent may not feel able to give or teach.
Location
We meet at Clear Lake Baptist Church (CLBC), 15700 Space Center Blvd., Houston, 77062, - located on the corner or El Dorado and Space Center Blvd., in Clear Lake City.
Fees
- At FAITH we are committed to keeping our fees low and affordable. Annual registration is $170 per family. $100 is due with your application and the remaining $70 is due by May 3, 2010.
- Class fees will be assessed for most classes. There are also book requirements for all academic classes. Please see class descriptions for details on fees and book requirements.
Guidelines
Each parent is completely responsible for their children while they are at co-op. This being said we have instituted policies and guidelines which are available by viewing our Handbook. We have three meetings each year to help FAITH Co-op run smoothly. The first is a teacher workshop held in late spring and then we have parent meetings just before the beginning of each semester. We ask all teachers/parents to attend these meetings.
