New to homeschooling? Thinking about homeschooling?

We would like to make you aware of an opportunity for new home schoolers.  Kathi Haynes is teaching a class at Amarillo College called “A Guide to Home Schooling.”  It is designed for adults considering teaching at home, includes legal requirements in Texas, curriculum options, planning considerations, and local opportunities for home schoolers.  The class is on Tuesday nights from July 31-August 14 at 6:30pm.  The fee for the class is $40.  You can find out more and register for the class on Amarillo College’s website.

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth~3 John 1:4

Just as a compass directs the traveler on their journey, the compass represents teaching our children to walk in the truth in their journey of life as we homeschool and teach them to be like Christ.

Welcome!

Located in Amarillo, Texas, the Panhandle Christian Home Educators Association (PCHEA) is a home school support group whose purpose is to encourage people in the process of teaching their children at home.

PCHEA offers opportunities for both new home schoolers and veteran home schoolers to gather together for fellowship and to share ideas. Our desire is that this information will be helpful to you in your homeschooling endeavors.
