Hey y'all! We're headin' back in time to have a good ‘ol fashioned Oklahoma Land Run. So gather up your pioneer clothes, spruce up those wagons, and get ready to stake your claim! It's time to have some TCHE Land Run fun!

Schedule for the day:

11:00 We will meet at the park in our best pioneer clothes with our decorated wagons to be judged.

11:15 we will have a booth set up to take pictures of the pioneers.

11:30 our guest Ms. Nanna Daisy will tell her story (the only single woman to participate in the land run and stake claim for herself)

11:55 we will gather for the land run at High Noon and race to find a piece of land that your family will “live on” and set up a storefront or a business of some kind. You can be as fancy as you like with your storefront or you could bring a box of cookies to “sell”. Once your family chooses their piece of land you may sit and have your sack lunch with your family and set up your storefront.

12:30 the “land office” will open for you to come and get your “Deed” to your piece of land and complimentary "Switchel" drink. Then you can walk around to all the different storefronts to purchase any goods and goodies that are offered. (Land Run money will be provided to each family before the “run”).

1:00 we will conclude our time together with some fun pioneer games and live animals…chickens, ducks and Longhorn!  Awards will be handed out for best-dressed Pioneer and best-decorated wagon.

What you need to bring: Grandparents, family and friends. Sack lunch, hammer, wagon, chairs, blanket, storefront or business. If you do not have a wagon or choose not to do a storefront or business that's ok. Please come on out anyway and participate in the run!

Money and stakes (not steaks) will be provided.

To make this a success we need parents or teens to help!

Needs:

A photographer for the photo booth.

Would like to video the land run, so will need a videographer.

4 Scatter helpers around the area to resolve disputes.

4 Game helpers

1-2 people to work the office to hand out the deeds.

If you can help with any of these needs please let me know ASAP!

This is a sign up event! Please, we must know how many families, in order to have enough money and grid divided off for each family.
