Tri City Impact Co-op
Tri City Impact is a true parent-led cooperative, not a drop-off program. We believe parents are the primary teachers of their children. Co-op classes are led by parent Tutors who share their individual interests, talents, education, and experience with our students.
Each semester, parents meet to discuss class needs and ideas for the upcoming semester. We do not require or subscribe to any particular curriculum, homeschool method, or teaching style. Ultimately, it is the unique combination of our parents' education, experience, interests, and talents that shapes the classes offered and makes co-op such a valuable learning experience.
Classes may include academic, enrichment, elective, and extracurricular subjects.
Our co-op meets on Mondays at Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Newcastle. Regular co-op class days run from 8:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. and include three one-hour class periods followed by lunch and recess.
Each semester includes:
10 Co-op Class Mondays for regularly scheduled cooperative classes
4 Community Mondays dedicated to field trips, special events, or service projects
Community Mondays are an intentional part of the Tri City Impact experience and give both parents and children opportunities to learn, serve, build relationships, and enjoy experiences together outside of the classroom.
Membership Options
Families may participate in Tri City Impact in one of two ways:
Group Membership – $15 per family annually: For families who want to participate in Tri City Impact community activities, including field trips, special events, service projects, parent fellowship, and other group opportunities, without participating in weekly co-op classes.
Co-op Membership – $15 annual Group Membership Fee + $25 Co-op Fee per semester: Includes participation in group activities and Community Mondays as well as our regular Co-op Class Mondays.
Individual classes, field trips, or special events may have additional fees based on supplies, curriculum, admission costs, or other expenses.
Parents participating in co-op contribute to the cooperative by serving as Tutors, Assistants, Nursery Assistants, substitutes, and in other roles necessary to make our co-op successful.
General Membership Guidelines
Tri City Impact General Membership Guidelines
Tri City Impact is a Christ-centered homeschool community and cooperative serving families in our area. Our goal is to provide meaningful community, encouragement, educational opportunities, and fellowship for both parents and children.
1. Christian Membership
Tri City Impact is a non-denominational Christian group. Our shared faith is foundational to our community and the way we approach fellowship, cooperative learning, and service.
At least one parent or legal guardian from each member family is required to review and sign the Tri City Impact Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct upon joining and at each annual membership renewal.
2. Educational Eligibility
Member families must be participating in either:
Traditional homeschooling that is protected by the Oklahoma State Constitution, or
A public, charter, or virtual school-at-home program, such as Epic, K12, or a similar program.
Both types of families are welcome in the Tri City Impact community.
3. Getting to Know Our Community
We believe relationships are an important part of building a strong cooperative community.
Before becoming eligible to participate in our weekly co-op, new families must attend at least three Tri City Impact activities. This gives prospective families an opportunity to get to know our community and allows both parents and children to begin forming relationships before entering the co-op classroom environment.
4. Co-op Is a Cooperative
Tri City Impact co-op is a parent-led cooperative, not a drop-off program. Parents remain the primary teachers of their children, and every participating family contributes to making co-op successful.
Parents participating in co-op should expect to serve as Tutors, Assistants, Nursery Assistants, substitutes, or in other necessary roles throughout the semester.
5. Annual Membership
Tri City Impact membership is renewed annually. Members are expected to remain familiar with and follow our current Statement of Faith, Code of Conduct, Handbook, and other group policies.
Membership provides families with access to Tri City Impact community activities, events, field trips, parent fellowship opportunities, and eligibility to participate in co-op. Individual activities and co-op participation may require separate registration and fees.
Statement of Faith
Statement of Faith
We believe that Tri City Impact is a ministry opportunity for our members and as such we require that one parent/legal guardian of the member family must sign the Tri City Impact Group statement of faith as well as a code of conduct every year at membership renewal time. One signature is required as a representative of the whole family's consent and agreement with the statements contained therein.
Tri City Impact is, by design, a Christian group. Impact is not, however, associated with any denomination. We believe each family is to instruct their children in Scripture, in accordance with their own doctrine and convictions.
Our Statement of Faith concerns the Person and Work of Jesus Christ (the Gospel) revealed in Scripture. It is that faith once delivered to the saints (Jude 3, Eph. 4:5) which distinguishes believers from non-believers. There are many other precious truths taught in the Bible over which godly men have differed in understanding. Therefore, this is not a statement of all that is important to believe but of all that is essential to believe for Christian fellowship and unity (Rom. 15:7).
Tenets:
a. We believe that the Bible is the only inspired, inerrant and infallible Word of God (II Tim. 3:16-17, II Peter 1:20-21)
b. We believe in the Trinity. (I John 5:7)
c. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and fulfilled all prophecies concerning the Messiah. (Luke 24:25-27)
d. We believe all humans are sinful by nature. (Rom. 3:9-18, Rom. 5:12)
e. We believe in the finished work of Jesus Christ as Savior and that it is only by His blood that men will live in Heaven. (Heb. 10:8-14)
f. We affirm the biblical definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Mark 10:6-9).
g. We affirm God's definition of gender as assigned at birth and stated in Genesis 5. God has created us male and female intentionally and with a purpose (Genesis 5, Psalms 139, Mark 10:6-9)
h. We strive to actively pursue freedom in Christ and to glorify the Lord in all areas of our lives; at home, work, and in education.
