Mrs. Rachel Calcamuggio To All Instructors

Growing up as a pastor’s daughter, Rachel heard many first-hand stories from people involved in ministries all over the world.  This began a life-long desire to learn about the many peoples and cultures.  She studied Secondary Education at Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonna, MN with a focus on History and Bible.  She changed course, however, and spent the beginning of her married life in the corporate world.   God had other plans and in 2007 her family began their homeschooling adventure.  Over the past 18+ years, Rachel has had the privilege to teach and learn with her students in a variety of classes including world religions, history, geography, IEW, science, and personal finance at multiple co-ops throughout the metro.

Rachel and her husband are bless to have five children, one married.  They have even begun the adventure of being grandparents!  She enjoys the fellowship of her local church, serving behind the scenes there, and “holding the ropes” for those who are called to share the Gospel in full-time ministry.   Some of Rachel’s favorite things include an unscheduled afternoon with a good book, cooking international foods, making soap, gardening, hiking, and dark chocolate!
