Mrs. Aimee Mertz To All Instructors

Aimee has loved math since her middle school years and eventually landed on a mathematics education degree as she studied in college. After graduating from St. Cloud State University in 2013, she worked at Milaca High School teaching a variety of classes including 7th grade math, 7th grade Coding, Geometry and Algebra 2, but mainly Algebra 1 and Statistics & Probability. After her daughter was born in late February of 2020, she transitioned to staying home full time and has loved getting to spend time with her kids. She missed teaching though and began tutoring a few kids in her neighborhood in the last couple of years. Some of the best parts of teaching math is getting to watch a student find a mistake and correct it on their own or when they have developed the confidence to ask questions and take ownership in their work. At home, Aimee enjoys hanging out with her husband and three kids, baking and reading (when she has the chance).
