Back to School Bash

Add to Your Calendar: 09/11/2020 10:00 09/11/2020 11:00 America/New_York Back to School Bash

We're eager to kick off our year, but will plan to do things a little differently this year. Here's the scoop:

We're asking everyone to come prepared to sit in your own family groups- (bring blankets and/or chairs as needed). We will sit by families, socially distanced, while we have our meeting. At the conclusion, those who wish to leave may do so, and if others wish to stay, you are free to do that, as well. We will discuss some pertinent information for this year, then have some fun family introductions. The official meeting should last about an hour.

We suggest each family bring water and snacks, as you need. We will not have potluck-style food this year.

Other activities that we typically cover at the Bash will be handled in other ways this year-

Epic book club and Fiction Addiction book clubs have already started online discussions to select books. Those will continue to be finalized.

Informational meetings for new homeschoolers, homeschooling with special needs, and Introduction to High School will be held via Zoom on August 28th. Links will be posted on the calendar.

*We know there are some who will choose not to attend, based on your own families' needs. We will miss you, but look forward to the time when you will be able to join us!

We will meet at Scout park, which is sort of at the far end of Riverhills park. Please note the parking area in the map below. This area is quite shaded, and should be a comfortable place to meet for our Bash this year.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the potential risk of exposure to all parties, if anyone in your family had close contact with or been diagnosed with COVID-19, or anyone in your family experienced any of the following symptoms (fever, chills, cough, sore throat, respiratory illness, difficulty breathing, or loss of taste or smell), we ask that you will stay home from HATT activities. If you suspect COVID-19, please wait until you have a negative test result before resuming HATT activities.
