TEACHER TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS
The state requires private schools to list the qualifications of their teachers. While we know the best qualification is being the child's parent, it is helpful to strengthen our position as parents/teachers by reviewing all of our qualifications. If you have no more than a high school diploma, this is perfectly acceptable. However, there are personal experiences that lend to further qualifications, i.e. parenting classes, seminars, workshops, college courses, continuing education, employment training, other trainings, community classes, or self-help studies, including hobbies. Remember, you do not need a teaching credential.

- We understand that King's Academy reserves the right to amend the guidelines set forth in the King's Academy Handbook as needed.
- We understand that King's Academy, or the enrolled families, have the right to terminate enrollment upon written notice at any time.
- We understand that the guidelines for enrollment in King's Academy are designed to assist us in becoming successful in our home education effort. If we fail to meet our commitments to King's Academy, we understand that we will be subject to the Reinstatement Policy described in the handbook. And we further understand that our third violation of meeting our commitments in any 12-month period will be cause for our family to be dropped from the program.
- We as parents understand that King's Academy is designed to support and encourage parents in the teaching of their children at home. We understand that the course we pursue and the quality of our child's education will be our decision and responsibility.
- We understand that King's Academy is overseen by the volunteer HEARTS Board of Directors. We commit to pray for the families in leadership of King's Academy on a regular basis.

TUITION & FEES
Please remit the one-time, non-refundable Application Fee of $40 with your application. Your application will not be evaluated by the HEARTS Board of Directors until this fee is received. Pay here via Zeffy, a nonprofit payment processor with no fees. (IMPORTANT: Set the optional Zeffy donation to $0 or it will charge you a processing fee)
After your application and application fee have been received, the Board will review your request and you will receive an email confirming if you have been accepted or not.
Upon acceptance, you will be invoiced for the year's tuition as follows:
$150 per year for families enrolling 1-3 students in 1st-12th grade
$200 per year for families enrolling 4+ students
$25 additional per high school student enrolled to cover graduation costs

STUDENT'S CUM FILE(S)
Upon acceptance into King's Academy you will fill out a records request form that we will send to your child's previous school, if applicable.
All other students will need to supply the following documents:
- Immunization Record (or signed waiver)
- Report of Health Exam for School Entry (or signed waiver)
- Copy of student's birth certificate
- Any CUM file from a previous school

King’s Academy is an educational service of HEARTS, a non-profit support group. King’s Academy and HEARTS admit students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin with all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. They do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, athletic and any school-administered programs.
