HERITAGE HOME SCHOLARS FIELD TRIPS
We encourage members to organize and participate in field trips. When we go out into the world, we not only learn things on our field trips, but it is also a great opportunity for us to be a witness to others – about homeschooling in general, about HERTIAGE, and about Jesus Christ.
Participating in a Field Trip
Field trips will be announced by e-mail and listed on the Calendar link on the website.
Organizing a Field Trip
If you would like to organize a field trip, please e-mail the activities coordinator (see Contact Information page). The activities coordinator can make sure there are no calendar conflicts and help you set up the event on the website. The following information needs to be provided:
Who can go (what ages, if siblings can come and if so, what ages)
Where (with directions if at all possible)
When (date and time)
What (whether or not there is any special program or agenda / what is the nature of the field trip)
Contact Information of person organizing the field trip (name, email and/or phone number)
If a fee is to be collected and paid as a group, arrangements need to be made to have checks sent to the organizer or treasurer. Another alternative is to collect money through our website PayPal account. Then one check can be written for the group.
PLEASE NOTE: To be respectful of the business owners we partner with for field trips, you must be signed up and paid in full 10 days prior to the event, unless otherwise noted. If you have paid and have to cancel within the 10 days preceding the event we cannot guarantee you will be reimbursed. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
