We do our best to check the email once a day, but please expect about 48 hours for a reply if the team needs to discuss or vote on the matter.

Other Co-Op Information

Q:

How do I request Guardianship?

A:

Cross Family,

We wanted to take a moment to let you know that our Guardianship form available for download here to print at home.

We will be using this new form exclusively, so please toss any old forms you may have on hand from previous years.

As a reminder, guardianship is only intended for Academy Students, 7th grade and up, and only for extenuating circumstances.

In order to request guardianship for a Cross Day, parents MUST do the following:

1. Contact the lead team ( Cross.Lead.Team@gmail.com or see us at the desk) as early as possible to request temporary guardianship for your student(s).

** If it is last minute, please contact Shallyn when you report your absence.

2. There must be pre-approval from at least 2 Leadership Team members BEFORE you ask another adult member of co-op to take on Guardianship for the specified co-op day.

3.  Bring the completed guardianship form and turn it in to the Lead Team Desk.

Please note:  Under no circumstances should a student arrive at Cross without his/her parent AND without a completed guardianship form, including all required signatures.

It is important for all of our Cross families to understand that guardianship is intended to be a privilege and a blessing for students who are taking upper-level classes (likely for high school credit) and should only be used sparingly.  The lead team reserves the right to decline a family’s request if Guardianship Requests become the norm rather than the exception.

Please let us know if you have any questions about the Guardianship Process.
