FAQs

Q:

What does NonSectarian mean

A:

Nonsectarian means that not only are we open to all faiths but we do not discriminate based on political views, gender identification or physical limitations. We are truly a group for anyone.

Q:

Are you nut free?

A:

We have a PEANUT FREE policy and we ask that our members do not bring items containing peanuts to any community gatherings. On occasions when we share food we encourage foods to be labeled so that everyone can make their own informed choice if that is safe for their family. Please let us know if you or your child have allergies before you register and we will do everything in our power to accomodate them.

Q:

Can I drop my child off?

A:

No, we are a parent run organization and can only flourish with active weekly parent participation from all families.  You are required to be on campus at all times.  We have volunteer jobs available to make the day run smoothly.

Q:

Can I schedule a tour?

A:

Yes, we would love to meet you!!!  Please look at our events to see when there are upcoming visitor days or playdates. If there aren't any on the schedule then contact us to see when the next one will be.

Q:

Do we need to attend the whole day? Every week?

A:

Classes are best when there is participation, however, we realize that there are emergencies and unforseeable circumstances in those cases we just request that you ensure that any volunteer jobs you sign up for are fulfilled before you leave.

If you only plan to participate alternating weeks or half the day on a regular basis then this would not be the co-op for you.

Q:

Do you do field trips?

A:

To enhance the learning experience, we go on several field trips each year.  We have a fabulous social chair who plans great field trips and parties, She has a committee of parents who help with the planning. Parents are responsible for providing transportation and supervision.

Q:

Do you have a preschool?

A:

If there are enough 3 or 4 year olds we can set up preschool program for thoses families that also have older children (at least kindergarten enrolled). If there are not enough students to hold a class we will decide if it's worth having a class or if we should have parents keep their preschoolers with them during the day.

Q:

Do you require a statement of faith?

A:

No, we do not.  We are a nonsectarian group and members of all faiths, and beliefs are welcomed.

Q:

How do we join?

A:

Click here to go to our request membership page.  Membership approval is based on availability and class sizes.

There is a three step process.

1. When you request to join the Community Outreach Coordinator will  email you a few questions. This is also a good time to ask any questions that you have as well. Once you have emailed us back your answers then the board will review and decide if we have space or not. You will receive an email telling you what to do next.

2. For the families that we have space for their age bracket and seem like a good fit for the group they will then receive another set of questions as well as a copy of our handbook. Once you send back those questions and confirm you've read the handbook then you will be invited to our visitor day.

3. Our visitor days will happen twice a year, at the end of fall and spring sessions. We will extend an invitation at that time and registration will be a first come first serve basis, others may be waitlisted.

please contact us anytime with any questions
