Mary Sawyer To All Instructors

Mary Sawyer has enjoyed the privilege of successfully mainstreaming Special Needs and non-Special needs children in a classroom setting as an Art Educator for over 40 years. As one of the 3 original HSP teachers, her goal continues to be to minister the Word of God to your children through Art Education in its many forms. In 2023, she successfully developed and implemented a Penmanship with Art Illustration Curriculum and Reading/Writing/Art Curriculum as Educator/Tutor for Special Needs students including ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia and Dysgraphia challenges along with non-Special Needs students. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education from Plymouth State University and has done graduate study at Regent University focusing on Art Therapy. She worked as Instructor and tutor for Special Needs children at Pemigewasset Development Center, Plymouth State University and is currently a Visual Fine Arts Instructor at Kings Grant School of the Arts since 2002. She served as Vice President of Kappa Delta Pi (an Honors Institution in Education) at Plymouth State University, and exhibited her artwork at the Karl Drerup Art Gallery in Plymouth, NH. She received the Teacher of the Year Award from Homeschool Plus, and is published in Who's Who Among America's Teachers, 8th Ed., 2004 and 9th Ed., 2005.

Teaching: Bible Studio Art Grades 1-4, Reading/Writing/Art - Classic Children's Bible with Illustrations Grades 2 - 4, Penmanship with Bible Studio Art Grades 2-5, Math Tutor with Fun Memory Enhancing Activities Grades 1-5, Bible Studio Art Grades 4-12, Chaplain Jr & Sr High School.
