PATH offers group/private testing and portfolio evaluations to ALL homeschooled children in the local area.
PATH testing takes place at Riverside Baptist Church, 10775 SW 104th Street.
GROUP TESTING FEE for 2018: $40 per student for PATH members.
GROUP TESTING FEE for 2018: $45 per student for non-members.
TEST RESULTS LETTERS are available to those who test with PATH. For an additional $10, a certified teacher will review the test results and write a letter stating that your child has demonstrated academic progress.This letter complies with state regulations and can be mailed to the county for the end-of-year requirement.
PATH will continue to keep records for two years in case members need them.
PATH offers testing of the additional subtests for students in grades 3 - 12. These additional subtests make up the Complete Battery of the Iowa Test of Basic Skills that is required for the National Honor Society. Students in grades 8 - 12 are eligible if they score a 90 or higher.

If you are testing at PATH, you will receive a copy of your child’s test results, together with a copy of the teaching certificate for the teacher administering the test. You may send the test results, together with the certificate, to the Administrative Director as indicated below (next bullet) or you may choose to have a certified teacher prepare a letter based on the test scores indicating that your child has made satisfactory progress. You may obtain the evaluation letter through PATH or other certified teachers. A copy of the teacher’s certificate must accompany this letter. It is recommended that you send your year-end report via certified mail, return receipt requested or email it to Homeeducation@dadeschools.net.
YEAR-END REPORTING REQUIREMENTS: Pursuant to Section 232.02, F.S., home schooling parents are required to provide an annual evaluation which shows that their child has demonstrated educational progress at a level commensurate with his or her ability. A copy of your evaluation is legally due to the county a year from the date you filed your Letter of Intent. However, to help them with their procedures, the county asks that you send a copy of the evaluation by July 1st of each year. That evaluation is to be sent to:

In order to satisfy the yearly evaluation requirement, you may:
1. Choose to have your child test with your local public school (not recommended)
2. Choose to have a certified teacher do a portfolio review
3. Choose to have a certified teacher administer a recognized standard test, either in a group or private setting.
