Purpose Statement and Statement of Faith

Purpose Statement

To glorify God in word and deed by serving Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and by consistently practicing the attitude and principles of the Christian life as taught in the Bible. (Col. 3:17)

To unite like-minded Christian families who believe it is their God-given responsibility and privilege to train, nurture, and teach their own children in accordance with God's will and Word. (Deut. 11:19)

To provide information, encouragement, and support to parents as they fulfill their ministry to their children.

To organize field trips, activities, and learning opportunities that will enhance the education of our children, and to provide a network for the exchange of such information.

To actively work as parents to effect legislative change that would benefit the Christian family and home education, and protect the rights of parents and families.

To provide information and resources to those in the community who inquire about homeschooling and to educate others about homeschooling as an educational alternative.

What We Believe - Statment of Faith

Our Statement of Faith includes only those foundational truths. There are many other precious truths taught in the Bible over which godly men have differed in understanding. Therefore, this is not a statement of all that is important to believe, but of all that is essential to believe for Christian fellowship and unity. (Rom 15:7)

We Believe:

  1. The Bible is entirely inerrant in the original writings and is the inspired, infallible Word of God. (II Tim. 3:16-17, II Pet. 1:20-21)
  2. There is one God eternally existing in three persons as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4, II Cor. 13:14)
  3. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and lived a sinless life. He bled and died on the cross for our sins. He bodily resurrected and will come again to Earth. (Lk. 1:34-35, I Pet. 2:24, Rom. 4:24-25, I Cor. 15:3-4)
  4. All people need salvation because we are sinners and are separated from God. Salvation is by God's grace to us and not by our works. Salvation is a gift of God to all individuals who repent of their sin and confess Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. (Ps. 14:1-7, Rom. 6:23, Rom. 10:9, 13 & 17, Tit. 3:5, Eph. 2:8-9)
  5. The Holy Spirit's enabling power is necessary for salvation and godly living. (II Cor. 3:5-6)
  6. God is the Creator of all life, including mankind. Life begins at conception and is a blessing and privilege, not a curse or hindrance. (Gen. 1:26-28, Ps. 127:3-5, Ps. 139:13-16)
  7. The institutions of family (marriage between one man and one woman), government, and church are established and blessed by God. God has given parents the ultimate responsibility for the care and training of their children. (Deut. 4:9, Mk. 10:6-9, Eph. 6:4)
  8. God desires His children to express faith in Him by worship, edification, and evangelism. We are commanded to share His Word and pray. (II Tim. 2:15, Mt. 6:9-13, Mt. 28:18-20)
