We need adult volunteer help in the long jump area (our team assignment). No experience necessary. The more that sign up, the more we can rotate. :)

Reminder to athletes: wear warmup pants over your shorts!

3:30 arrival (and allow time to park and walk, but do NOT enter the building before 3:30);
3:30 team warmup (BE ON TIME); 3:45 coaches' meeting; 4:00 running events begin, 4:20 field event warmups begin.

Teams: Spectrum (host), Park Center, Northwest Nighthawks.

This is an unusually early early-season meet, and avoiding injury is a priority.

  • Attendance is expected regardless of meet participation--come for warmup/workout and cheer for your teammates! This is an important meet to get the feel of how track meets are run.
  • We will determine individual athlete readiness closer to the event.
  • See Team Handbook for Attendance/Participation requirements, and ask the coaches if you have questions.

NO UNIFORMS!

  • Check your checklist! Even though this is an indoor meet, WEAR WARMUP PANTS. :)
  • Wear a RED TOP and ideally a visible RED HEADBAND.
    If you don't have a red top, ask a teammate if you can borrow one! If you have an extra, please bring it if you're willing to loan it out.
    These make it easier for your coaches to see and time you.
    If you ran cross country, dig out your red headband. If you lost it, please let us know so we can order more. No need to share (eew!).
  • Wear whatever dress-code compliant shorts you'd like.

COUNTING LAPS: Coaches (and runners) are responsible for lap count.
TIMING: Coaches time their own athletes.
