GGM Code of Conduct
A) GGM Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct & Dress Code will be followed by all who attend GGM, teachers, parents & students alike. These codes are also in effect for Co-op, field trips, special events or any event that GGM is represented in our facility or away.
1) General Rules:
a) Please be respectful of the church property at all times. Please pick up trash inside and outside the building and in the parking lot that you use.
b) Keep your hands to yourself.
c) Refrain from profane, obscene and improper language, gossip and gestures.
d) Inappropriate public displays of affection are not allowed.
e) Bullying is strictly prohibited.
f) No rough housing
2) Classroom Rules
a) Listen when others are talking.
b) Do not leave the class without permission from teacher.
c) Do not distract others from learning.
d) Participate in class activitites.
B) Dress Code
1) Dress code for young ladies
Please avoid low cut tops and dress modestly. No halter tops, mini skirts or short shorts. Shirts must cover the stomach at all times-even when the arms are raised. Writing and images on clothing must not be offensive in nature. A tank top must be worn under sheer tops. Those who violate these provisions, regardless of age, will be asked to leave and return dressed appropriately. If this is not an option, a large t-shirt will be provided to be worn for the rest of the day.
2) Dress code for young men
Pants will be worn properly and underwear will not be showing. Writing and images on clothing must not be offensive in nature. Those who violate these provisions, regardless of age, will be asked to leave and return dressed appropriately.
Both young ladies and young men should refrain from make-up, piercings, clothing or hair that is distracting or inappropriate.
3) Pool/Beach Parties and Swimsuits
Boys shall wear swim trunks, no Speedos. Girls shall either wear one piece swimsuits, tankinis, or two piece suit with a t-shirt worn over the swimsuit. We encourage modesty at all times.
C) Discipline Policy
GGM does not employ any form of corpral punishment. Discipline for violations will be handled in the following manner:
1st offense: Verbal warning to the student.
2nd offense: Verbal warning to the parent.
3rd offense: Student will be removed from the class or parent may be asked to accompany student in the class for a period of time.
No disorderly or disrespectful behavior to each other or the facility will be tolerated.
D) No Weapons Policy
No weapons of any kind shall be brought to co-op. Knives, lighters, matches, brass knuckles, guns, toy guns, BB guns, air guns are prohibited. This is a very serious offense and could result in expulsion.
E) Cigarette, Alcohol & Illegal Drugs
No tobacco, alcohol or illegal drugs are permitted on campus at any time. This is a very serious offense and could result in expulsion.
F) Music, Cell Phones, Gaming Devices, Laptops & Ipods
Ipods, Ipads, MP3, CD Players and all electronic devices may be brought to co-op at your own risk. Devices must be turned off during class time. If cell phones are used during class they will be confiscated and returned at the end of the day. In the event of an emergency, parents can contact Brenda @ 727 637 9416 or call the church.
Note: Due to limited internet connections & bandwidth, only teachers with specific class needs will have access to WiFi.
G) Conflict/Grievance Procedure
All grievances should be handled following the pattern of Matthew 18:15-17. Disputes and conflicts shall be taken to a board member. That board member will bring the matter before the board for resolution. If it is then determined necessary, the parties involved may be brought before the board to complete the resolution process.
