Our Beliefs

Our Beliefs

Grace Life Co-op is unapologetically a Christian organization. 

We do allow those of different beliefs to join our co-op, but prospective members need to understand that we will operate according to biblical values. 

What we believe is listed below. While it is not necessary to accept all these beliefs in order to be a member of Grace Life Co-op, we ask that you respect that this statement is the foundation of the group, and as such, all classes, meetings, activities, and events will be conducted in a manner which reflects these beliefs. 
(i.e., teaching, scripture reading, devotions, and prayers).

Statement of Faith

•  We believe in one God who is one in His being, eternally existing in three Persons: God the
    Father, God, the Son, and the God, Holy Spirit who are all equal in power, glory, and
    perfection.

•  We believe the inspired, infallible, inerrant Scriptures are the final arbiter of all truth, and
    are our sole rule for faith and morals. These consist of 66 books: 39 in the Old Testament, 
    27 in the New Testament. All other books, which may contain truth and sound teaching, 
    are not equal to these, and are to be judged in light of the Scriptures.

 •  We believe that Jesus Christ is the unique Son of God, Second Person of the Trinity, God 
    incarnate, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born
    of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on a cross, and rose bodily from the dead on the
    third day.

•  We believe that God created all things of nothing, by the Word of His power, in the space of
    six days, and all very good.

•  We believe that God created mankind as good. When our original parents, Adam and Eve,
    rebelled, all creation fell with them. As a result, all are born into sin. No-one by nature desires
    to please God nor are they able to. Even the good works we might do are tainted by sin. We
    are all, therefore, justly under the wrath of God, awaiting eternal punishment.

•  We believe that salvation from the wrath of God is available only through repentance and
    faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose death and resurrection satisfied God’s wrath for all who
    put their trust in him. Good works contribute nothing to earn salvation. Salvation is a gift of
    God by His grace alone, which we receive by faith alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God
    alone.

•  We believe God created human beings in two genders: male and female, each with distinct
    roles, but of equal value before Him in Christ. We affirm that gender is a good gift of God,
    given according to His will, for His purposes, and revealed to us through biology. God created
    human sexuality as a good thing to be enjoyed between a man and woman within the 
    covenant of marriage. As such, we are to exercise chastity outside of marriage, and fidelity 
    within marriage.
