FAQs

Q:

Where do we meet?

A:

FBC Biloxi

1560 Popps Ferry Road

Biloxi, MS 39532

Q:

What is the difference between HEARTS and CORA?

A:

HEARTS Ministry is a non-profit organization that offers co-op style classes to the homeschool community. HEARTS started by offering a few extracurricular classes for all ages 12 years ago in the living room of Adita Harrell's home. We quickly outgrew the space and came to our current location at FBC Biloxi. HEARTS offers two semesters, Fall and Spring, each lasting 8 weeks of extracurricular classes for grades K-12.

CORA, the Latin word for Heart, is a division of HEARTS Ministry specifically geared towards 7th-12th-grade students. The classes offered during the 32-week program are academic courses.

Students can participate in both programs, giving a good balance between academics and fun.

Q:

My family cannot afford to pay the registration and class fees. Do you offer fee waivers?

A:

We offer discounts on HEARTS/CORA fees through involvement in the program. Assistants and Teachers receive discounted and often FREE registration and class fees. For more information see "How do I become a teacher at HEARTS/CORA?"

Q:

How do I become a teacher or assistant at HEARTS/CORA?

A:

We are always in need of teachers and assistants. Teachers and assistants will all need to have a completed background check prior to being approved to lead/help in a class.

Please send an email to fbcbiloxiheartsministry@gmail.com with your name and what class you may be interested in teaching.
