Blossom: Cheekwood
May is a prime time to visit the Cheekwood Estate & Gardens! Not hot yet, not crowded yet, and full of life (though sadly the tulips will be gone)!
Cheekwood graciously offers homeschool fieldtrips with FREE admission for children and one adult per family, an opportunity not to miss, as admission is typically ~$23/adult, ~$16/child. Extra adults per family will need to purchase regular admission on their website. Parking is $5/car, paid upon arrival (no cash).
But... a minimum of 15 students are needed. Invite friends! Help us gather enough! Just share this page.
We check-in together at 1pm (the earliest for homeschool fieldtrips, I tried for earlier!), and have until they close at 5pm. (Hopefully free Cheekwood is enough to make up for finishing up during rush hour!)
We're signed up for a self-guided day, leaving us free to explore the grounds. I believe we may be provided some educational materials, like perhaps a scavenger hunt.
Entry to the mansion must be arranged ahead of time. If you are interested, let me know, so I can inquire.
