CHESS Homeschool Orientation
New to Homeschooling? Need Help? Come join us for our new three-part homeschool orientation series. This series will focus on how to begin, the daily "nuts & bolts" of homeschooling, and how to find support, community and opportunities. Within this broad framework, we will incorporate discussion of topics such as focusing school on the Lord, discipling our children, teaching more than academics, learning together as a family, fostering a love of learning, and more. CHESS homeschool veterans and mentors will be present to give input, answer questions, and provide encouragement.
Meetings will take place three Wednesday evenings in August (12, 19, 26) from 7-9 p.m. at Capital City Vineyard Church, 1635 Coolidge Rd. in East Lansing. For more information or to sign up, contact Amy Doerr or Anna Chapman.
