Pastor David Barton To All Instructors

Through his education from Moody Bible Institute, Bryan College and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and over 50 years in ministry, Pastor Barton is bringing a wealth of biblical knowledge and practical application to our students. He founded and pastored two church plants, taught both U.S. History and Government for HEARTS and is an active volunteer for Cornerstone Chapel. He also volunteers wiith Mosaic and hosts a K-group with Cornerstone Chapel. With his true history buff mentality and passion for Apologetics, he brings an unmatched ability to connect our country's history to current events while pointing to biblical truths for much of the explanation and logic. He has a Socratic teaching style and encourages classroom engagement as they take on cultural issues through a biblical lens.

Pastor Barton has been married to his wonderful wife Eleanor for over 60 years! He has two children, five grandchildren (some are HEARTS grads), and a third great grandchild on the way. He stays busy both physically, mentally and spiritually and can frequently be heard saying, "I'm retired but not expired." He brings experience in the subject matter of history and bible and will bless his students as he prepares them to take on the harder issues with grace, discernment and truth.

Being a shepherd and pastor through the years has been his greatest blessing. His focus on God, family, and country are contagious.
