Mrs. Mia Kim To All Instructors

Mrs. Kim earned her Master's Degree in Middle Education with a focus on Mathematics in 1998 from George Mason University. She also completed her undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech and George Mason University. She taught middle school mathematics (grades 6-8) for eight years in Fairfax County and Rockingham County until the birth of her first daughter. Encouraged by her husband, she began homeschooling in 2010 and has succesfully guided and instructed their three daughters ever since. In fact, she recently graduated her oldest from HEARTS! 

Mrs. Kim is passionate about inspiring a love of mathematics in all children, knowing that math is part of our everyday lives. She loves traveling and dreams of exploring the world to see all of God’s creation. She is originally from South Korea and is fluent in Korean.
