Mrs. Crystal England
Crystal's love for teaching has found its way into every chapter of her life; but more importantly, she has been able to see God's mighty hand in all that has been put before her. Inspiring an excitement to learn, creating an infectious love for the Lord, and making every day the best it can be, is what fuels her passion for both teaching and outreach.
Crystal attended Virginia Tech, where she met her husband of twenty years on the rescue squad as an EMT. She received her degree in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise along with a minor in chemistry. She then went back to school for her Registered Nursing degree and went on the work in both the ICU, Hospice and Nurse/Patient Education. During her time in the hospital setting, she was a clinical instructor for an RN program, as well as an instructor for Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic CPR. She was also a part of the IT team, where she assited all employees with their education of new software applications.
Prior to her work in the nursing field, she was a children's counselor at a women's and children's emergency shelter/transitional housing. There, she supervised/trained interns from Radford University and Virginia Tech while they worked in the shelter. She created/supervised tutoring programs for the children at the shelter and provided Life Skills courses for both moms and children.
Crystal has been homeschooling for 10 years and teaching science/math courses throughout. She tutors for math, study skills/test taking strategies, college A&P courses, and RN courses. She lives in the area with her husband, three children, two dogs and many visitors! She loves hosting and hopes to one day have her own farm and B&B.
