Mrs. Tara Hines To All Instructors

Mrs. Hines has been fascinated by word origins and the ancient world since her first year of Latin in 8th grade. She graduated from the University of Richmond with a B.A. in Latin and Classical Civilization and a minor in Greek. She then moved on to Johns Hopkins University and graduated with an M.A. in Classics. After being a student for many years, she switched roles and became a Latin teacher! She taught at Lake Braddock Secondary School and the Nysmith School for the Gifted and tutored students ranging from 4th grade to graduate school. Additionally, Mrs. Hines has been an SAT verbal prep tutor for many years. After taking a few years off from teaching to raise her daughters, she began teaching in the homeschool community and is now in her fourth year. Mrs. Hines lives in Ashburn with her husband, two daughters, and three cats. She and her family attend Hamilton Baptist Church.
