Mr. Ken Taylor
Ken is co-author of The Confucian Cycle: China’s Sage and America’s Decline. He has a keen interest in historical events, trends, and their application to both current day and the future. Through the study of world history, we will focus on global trends; and with this approach, students will not only have the knowledge of facts and important events in our history, but they will increase their understanding of management, finance, entrepreneurship, politics and economics. As both technologist and entrepreneur himself, Ken has experience in such historical applications and through this comparative history approach, students will truly be challenged to learn, analyze, and apply. He holds degrees in public speaking and business, and has been involved in multiple startups companies. He has taught both in Oakton Baptist Church's Bible Institute, and served locally as church music minister and Sunday school teacher. While discussing this course with Ken, he said, "Human nature doesn't change. We need to learn from history to understand our present." This couldn't be more true!
