Julie has been teaching IEW for eight years, Lost Tools for four years, and literature for five years. She has been a youth group leader at her church, McLean Bible Loudoun, for 7 years, and feels that investing in today’s youth is one of the most important things she feels God is calling
her to do.
Julie Elliott has always had a passion for teaching and helping students to discover the joy of learning. She has a BA in Elementary Education and prior to starting her family, taught kindergarten through 3rd grade with Arlington public schools for 12 years. Julie's love for teaching, specifically her passion for teaching children to read, is what starting her homeschoolin journey. She has been homeschooling her three daughters for 13 years, along with numerous other children through local homeschooling groups. As her children have grown, and in God’s perfect timing, Julie has found that she enjoys teaching middle school writing and literature and desires to make writing less intimidating and more enjoyable for students.
Julie lives in Ashburn with her husband and three amazing daughters. Her oldest is now a senior and will be attending Liberty University in the fall. Julie likes to be outside, spend time with friends and family, and loves warm beaches.
