Mrs. Sophie Walker To All Instructors

Mrs. Walker joins HEARTS with over 20 years of math instruction experience. She earned her B.S. in Math from George Mason University where she also received her certification to teach grades 8-12. She has provided tutoring services for middle through high school math courses since 1996, when she stopped her full-time job to start her own tutoring business. She finds herself drawn to the upper level maths and is looking forward to leading our Calculus Dual Enrollment Support Class. Working to supplement, fill in the gaps, and support a student's advancement in math is a clear calling for her.

Not only does Mrs. Walker's daughter attend HEARTS, but her family also attends Broadlands Community Church. After experiencing both the community feel of HEARTS, along with it's structure and organization, she became excited about finding ways to become more involved.
