Mrs. Melissa Klinker To All Instructors
Mrs. Klinker studied Apparel Design and Graphic Design at the Academy of Design in Chicago and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. Before she was led to be a stay-at-home mom, she worked as a Visual Merchandiser for Express and Lord & Taylor, as a show coordinator for StyleMax fashion shows at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, and as a Fashion Marketing permanent substitute teacher at Langley High School, VA.
Mrs. Klinker began homeschooling in 2015, when her oldest started kindergarten. For the past eight years, she was enthusiastically involved in her co-op as a K-5 th history teacher where she made history come alive on a weekly basis and has been teaching art all along the way.
After being a content creator for Kiwi Crate, she started teaching sculpture and art essential classes with Dulles Area Homeschoolers. She then created her own business, Mama Miss Art Studio, and started teaching her own art classes and art camps. Along with still regularly teaching art camps and art classes, she works as a freelance graphic designer.

Activities for Thanks and Positivity for 8-12yo

6-9yo.
She is very active at her gym and lives in Ashburn with her husband of fifteen years, her two children, and her three cats.

- I use emoticons :) and ellipsis (…) way too much.
- I try not to take myself too seriously yo. (my husband just asked me if I really just said “yo”)…I did & it only matters that it’s funny to me.
- I like to create, bake, cook, craft, sew, write, and make fun meals for my kids.
- I LOVE grilled cheese and cotton candy.
- I really am very disorganized, in an organized sort of way – HA! (you know Monica’s messy closet on Friends – yeah that’s me)
