Mrs. Heather Yarashus To All Instructors
Heather Yarashus, B.A. in Chemistry and M.A. in Chemistry from William and Mary, worked as a homeschool science teacher for many years and as a substitute at Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School. She has 8 children and is a member of Sterling Orthodox Presbyterian Church.
Afflicted with an insatiable curiosity to understand how things work and what they are made of, Heather now likes to help students see and understand these things. She has taught several different science subjects in both public and private school settings, but her favorite subject is Chemistry.
Heather worked as a nanny during college, getting some practice teaching other people’s children (manners, reading, writing, and beginner piano). After earning her Masters in Chemistry from William and Mary, she had the opportunity to travel around the country working at different military bases. She has been homeschooling her own children since 2001.
