Who can apply to SSA?
1. Current members in good standing.*
2. New families who have completed the new family registration process as outlined below.
What is the SSA application process?
Current Members in good standing may apply on the priority registration date: March 1st for 2023-2024 academic year (or anytime thereafter, subject to space available).
New Families will complete the following steps for application to Surprise Scholé Academy:

Introductory phone call with an SSA Board member

Zoom Info Meeting
-
Optional Visit Day (Zoom Info Meeting required prior to visit day)

Board Interview via Zoom

Application, opens April 3rd for 2023-2024 academic year.
Are families who have been SSA members in previous years required to complete the New Family Application Process?
Sometimes. This is handled on a case by case basis at the discretion of the SSA Governing Board.
*Current Members in Good Standing: A current academic year member family that has faithfully fulfilled their service credits, adhered to community policies, provided lesson plans for Academic Mentor positions, and has not exceeded the maximum number of allowed absences. A current family in good standing has also engaged in virtuous conduct, inspired character growth and development in other members of SSA, refrained from gossip and has resolved disputes with the board or other families discreetly and following the biblical model outlined in Matthew 18.
