FAQs

Q:

What is CASA?

A:

CASA is a parent-powered Christian homeschool group.

The mission of CASA Homeschool Group is to love and honor Christ as we encourage, educate, and engage with the local community of homeschool families. As Christ demonstrated his love for us by sacrificially giving His life in order for us to have a relationship with Him, we strive to emulate that same value system of loving people and being relationally aware.

Q:

When does CASA meet?

A:

CASA meets on Fridays, September to May, from 8:45am to 3:00pm.

Q:

What is required of me?

A:

In order for our co-op to be successful, we ask that you bring your unique set of skills and gifts to add to our group.  Some of the many opportunities to serve in our group include: teachers, co-teachers, teacher helpers, cleaning crew, helping to put on our special events, mom’s nights, setting up volunteer opportunities for our teens and/or families, etc.

Q:

Do I have to teach a class?

A:

We encourage our parents to offer a class. It's the easiest way to earn your credit hours and it offers the group something special only you can contribute. You are not required to teach a class, however. There are other ways to earn your credit hours.

Q:

How much is CASA?

A:

While the yearly cost varies, we are generally around $400 per family, not including extra class fees or textbook costs.

Q:

Can I come part time?

A:

We do have a part-time option available!

Q:

Can I drop my kids off?

A:

We are not a drop-off organzation. Parental involvement is required.

Q:

Can I join with my preschooler?

A:

We ask that your oldest child be age 6 or older. We do have preschool classes and a nursery available for your younger children, but our priorities at this time are to meet the needs of elementary students and high school.
