Shanan Membership Application

We are so glad your family is considering Shanan Co-op for the upcoming school year.
Please take a moment to read through the requirements outlined below before beginning.
The deadline to submit an application is Saturday, March 21st 2026 at 10pm.
If items are mailed, they must be postmarked by March 21st.
* NOTE: Please make sure to save the Username and Password you enter below as you will need them to log in if your family is accepted.
Application Requirements:
1. Visit Shanan Co-op.
Applicants must visit co-op during a Visitation Day to be considered for admission. If you haven't had a chance to visit, please reach out to shanan.newfamily@gmail.com to see if there is availability. You may submit an application before a scheduled visit.
2. Read the Shanan Co-op Handbook in its entirety and be in compliance with it.
The documents at the end of the handbook requiring signatures are integrated into the online process below.
3. Complete the Shanan Membership Application and sign the Shanan Co-op Documents which are linked within.
These include:
Shanan-Co-op Handbook, What We Believe, Parent Commitments, Student Commitments (children 6 years and older), and Photo/Media Release forms. Additionally, you'll see reference to our Release of Liabiliity and the FCF Church Waiver. These forms will be available in Part 2 of the application.
4. Submit New Family - Parents' Testimony.
This document needs to be printed out in order for both the mother and father to hand write their personal testimonies. They should be submitted by emailing the New Family Coordinator a clear and readable pdf/picture of the document.
5. Print, sign, and mail a copy of this Signature Form to the address you receive on the emailed invoice.
6. Submit full payment of Yearly Application Fees.
- Yearly fees consist of:
- $175 per family
- $45 per primary student (birth-5th grade)
- $95 per middle school/high school student (MSHS)
- $75 1-night Middle School & High school retreat
- $70 Optional High School 2nd night stay for the retreat
Our treasurer will email an invoice with the Application Fees, along with payment instructions.
*Note: Additional class fees will be determined over the summer and payment will be required at orientation in August. These fees range from $10-$250, depending on the class. Families are responsible for purchasing textbooks or curricula as requested by the teacher. Estimated class fees can be found in the class descriptions, but are subject to change until they are finalized.
Please know that if an invitation is extended to your family to become a part of Shanan Co-op, you will be required to complete a background check and be cleared.
Once a family is registered for the year, they will be expected to stay in co-op for the entire school year. Fees will not be refunded after acceptance of the application. If a family withdraws after the registration deadline, they will be ineligible to participate in co-op for two full years. (Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis with Board approval).
