Statement of Faith
At HeartWay Co-op:

• We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20).
• We believe God is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. (Gen. 1; John 1:3; Col. 1:16; Heb. 1:3).
• We believe Jesus is both Lord and Christ, to the glory of God the Father. (Acts 1:9-11; 2:36; Phil. 2:9-11).
•  We believe that whosoever will confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in their heart God raised Him from the dead, shall be saved. (Rom. 10:9-10; Acts 2:21; 1 John 1:12).
•  We believe that the Holy Spirit is sent by Jesus to indwell, empower, teach, guide and comfort believers. (Luke 12:12; Rom. 8:11; John 16:13; Acts 1:7-8, 9:31).
• We believe that the Lord Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection from the dead provided for the healing of the spirit, soul, and bodies of all people who believe.
• We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ, who will come to rule as King upon the earth with the saints. (Acts 1:9-11; 1Thess. 4:13-5:2; Rev. 19:11-21, 22:20).

Statement on Gender, Marriage, and Sexuality
In order to preserve the function and integrity of our Co-op and to provide a Biblical role model to our members and the community, it is imperative that all members agree to and abide by the following Statement on Biological Sex, Marriage, and Sexuality (Matt 5:16;  Phil 2:14-16;  1 Thes. 5:22).

• God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary sexes each reflect the image and likeness of God (Gen 1:26-27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.’”). Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person. A woman is an adult biological female human.  A man is an adult biological male human.  The Bible is our standard and there are no instances of gender fluidity (changing from one sex to another).  Male and female are equally valuable and complementary — each displaying aspects of God as their differences work together.  Someone redefining or not accepting their biological sex goes against God’s will and design.
• The term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one biological man and one biological woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture (Gen 2:18-25).
• God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a biological man and a biological woman who are married to each other (1 Corinthians 6:18; 7:2-5;   Hebrews 13:4).

Our co-op has a Christian emphasis, as evidenced by the Statement of Faith. It is important for all members to realize that HeartWay is not a school: it exists only as a co-operative association of parents committed to protect and educate our children.
 
When you participate in our co-op, all of our activities and meetings will be conducted with a New Testament Christian emphasis. All classes taught will be taught from a Biblical world view. Science will be taught from a creationist world view. In history and literature, the teachers will discuss the topics outlined with students and have the class discussion with a Biblical perspective.
