Per Artes Ad Virtutem
St. Paul Institute for Fine Arts exists to serve Catholic families through experience in the fine arts. We teach virtue as part of Catholic faith formation through a theater program and other activities. We also aim to enrich the culture of the community with productions of high intellectual and moral character.
St. Paul Institute is a private, Catholic, fine arts cooperative for grades 3-12. In their work of producing a theatrical production, our students are formed in both intellect and will. Intellectually, they grapple with high quality source material, coming to understand it with the thoroughness required to perform it for others. The work involved in such an endeavor forms the student in the rewards of the arduous good, such that they know from direct personal experience that those achievements with the greatest benefits come only through the greatest effort. It is in and through the daily grind of memorizing lines, the tedium of hours of rehearsals, the pain and embarrassment of failing to get the character right that the euphoria and joy of opening night is experienced.
