Sarah Brust To All Instructors
Hi Thrive Families:
My name is Sarah Brust and I am so excited and extremely blessed to partner with families at Thrive. I have been teaching English for 19 years-along with coaching varsity sports, tutoring high schoolers and advising for yearbook (I’ve been a High School Yearbook Adviser for 16 years), concurrently alongside a plethora of different teams, clubs and groups for over 20 years, right out of college. I have my English Education degree with an emphasis in World Literature from California State University, Long Beach. I also earned my CA English Teaching Credentials from CSULB, as well as my Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University.
Along with my family, husband Nick, son Nickson (6) and daughter Hannah (5), I love going to the beach, camping or really anything outdoors. We also really get into sports, especially the Padres. I am very close to my family, both immediate and married. Family and Jesus are the driving force in all I do! I also run a small scale, family operated flower farm in Fallbrook where I live, called Brooktown Blooms.
I am a new vendor coming to Thrive as I leave behind my years in public high school. I am truly excited for this change as a teacher, moving from a public school teacher for almost 20 years at the same high school, to a much more personal, Christ-led, student driven and family serving learning environment. I’m passionate about many things but one is children/youth. I see the value and purpose in their lives and I’m honored to work with kids everyday, as I have for over 20 years. God has led me to this season in life and this opportunity at Thrive. I truly couldn’t be more excited to work hand in hand with students and families to serve, guide, inspire and teach.
