Beverly Gilbert To All Instructors

Beverly Gilbert is a seasoned educator with both classroom and administrative experience. She has taught all levels of high school mathematics for 13 years at Carlsbad High School, as she served as a mentor teacher for the district. Additionally, she provided SAT/ACT courses at area Junior Colleges and taught teacher education courses at Point Loma University.

Beverly spent two years as a Math curriculum Writer for a national charter school, followed by 20 years as the National Director of Professional Development for SIATech, supporting teachers and administrators across eight states and working extensively with at-risk student and students with learning differences. She also served four years as Director of Education for CALCO Consulting, leading national and state education contracts.

Beverly has tutored students from public and private high schools for over 30 years, worked as an actuary early in her career and presented nationally and at the state level on education and standards, and ran a California Induction Program for 15 years helping teachers earn their second-tier credentials.

She is very excited to offer both Algebra II and Geometry for Thrive students!
