Matt Suncin To All Instructors

Hi! I'm Matt Suncin, I’m a professional skate coach and the founder of The Sk8 Coach Skateboarding School, based here in North County San Diego. I specialize in working with athletes of all ages and skill levels, from complete beginners to competitive skaters.

With over 15+ years of experience coaching at local, national, and international events, my approach focuses on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and a genuine love for skateboarding. I create a positive, structured environment where students can progress safely while having fun.

I joined Thrive in the fall of 2022 and look forward to many more years to come!

My staff and I offer both private lessons and group programs, and we’re proud to partner with charter schools to support students through personalized, skill-based physical education.
