Registration for Fall 2023-Spring 2024 Classes will open June 5th for teachers and June 7th for general registration.

 

About Us

Thanks for your interest in Guiding Arrows Homeschool Co-op. Guiding Arrows Homeschool Co-op exists to provide quality enrichment classes for homeschoolers, encouragement for homeschooling parents, and social opportunities for homeschooling families within a Christian setting.

 

To learn more about our group,  a question and answer format is provided below.


Q:

When are Guiding Arrows classes?

A:

Guiding Arrows meets every other Friday from 9:15am-Noon for a day of enrichment classes. Families are invited to bring their own lunch to share fellowship together over lunch in the gym or outside at the picnic pavilion following the classes.

What does a typical class day look like?

A:

Here is the structure of our class day:

9:15-9:30am Large group assembly with prayer, pledge, catechism, announcements

9:40-10:20am Class 1

10:30-11:10am Class 2

11:20-noon Class 3

Lunch and fellowship


 

Q:

For what ages are classes offered?

A:

We offer classes for all ages from nursery up through high school.


 

Q:

Is parent participation required?

A:

Yes! We are not a drop off program. It takes many people to keep things running smoothly. Parents are required to stay and to sign up to help in the nursery or as a helper in a class each period.

Where are classes held?

A:

Classes are held at Delhi Baptist Church, 18151 Church Ln. Jerseyville, IL 62052


 

Q:

Who is in charge of leading the group?

A:

Our group is primarily led by a director, Amy Ice, and assistant director, Danielle McCoy. Our other board members include: David Ice-chaplain, Sue Pruett-treasurer, and Courtney Brannum- financial secretary.


 

Q:

How much do classes cost?

 

1 child: $150/school year
2 children: $175/school year
3 children: $200/school year
4+ children: $225/school year
Infants 0-1 year old are free
Teachers receive a 50% discount off of tuition.

I would like to know more about the teachers and the classes beeing offered this semester?

A:

Look under the "Classes" tab to see the titles of classes that are currently being offered. You will be able to see more details about the instructors and classes when you create an account to join our group, and log in to the website.

 

Q:

Do you have a statement of faith?

A:

Yes, we are a Christian group and have a statement of faith. All of our teachers are required to be in agreement with our statement of faith. We do not require all who attend the group too be in complete agreement with our statement fo faith, but do ask that all who join complete a questionairre that includes a statement of your beliefs. We are inclusive, but ask that all who come be respectful of our beliefs and understand that our teachers will teach from a Christian viewpoint in accordance with our statement of faith.

Q:

How do I register for classes?

A:

1.) Please first review our general policies and procedures, code of conduct, and wellness policies. You may access the pdf documents containing these are available on this FAQ page. You will need to review these first, so that you may agree to abide by them as part of your membership application. Please also review our statement of faith, so that you may state whether you are in agreement with it.

2.) Create an account on our website: www.homeschool-life.com/IL/guidingarrows by clicking "Join" which is located on the upper right corner of the page.

2.) Submit the membership application, making sure to include the names of all parents and children who will participate in classes. Please be sure to answer all questions on the application so that we can better get to know you.

3.) Your membership will be approved by the director or assistant director.

4.) Once your membership is approved, login with your username and password.

5.) Click on class registration, and select the classes that each of your children would like to participate in.

6.) Make sure that you as a parent sign up to participate in the nursery or another class as a helper during each class period.
