About Us

Soaring High is a conservative, Christian group of homeschooling families that come from a variety of denominations. Our purpose is to give our children an opportunity to learn from and associate with other children of similar faith and with similar purpose in a nurturing and joy-filled environment. Additionally, families benefit from the camaraderie and support that comes from getting to know other homeschooling families.

Purpose Statement

To glorify God in word and deed by serving Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and by consistently practicing the attitude and principles of the Christian life as taught in the Bible. (Colossians 3:17)

To unite like-minded Christian families who believe it is their God-given responsibility and privilege to train, nurture, and teach their own children in accordance with God's will and Word. (Deuteronomy 11:19)

To provide information, encouragement, and support to parents as they fulfill their ministry to their children.

To organize field trips, activities, and learning opportunities that will enhance the education of our children, and provide a network for the exchange of such information.

To provide information to those in the community who inquire about homeschooling and educate others about homeschooling as an educational alternative.

What We Believe - Statement of Faith

Our Statement of Faith includes only those foundational truths.  There are many other precious truths taught in the Bible over which godly people have differed in understanding.  Therefore, this is not a statement of all that is important to believe, but of all that is essential to believe for Christian fellowship and unity. (Romans 15:7)

1) We believe that the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

2) We believe there is only one God who eternally exist in three persons; the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ) and the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

3) We believe that God created everything, us and the entire universe around us, with His spoken word. (Genesis 1:1-31)

4) We believe that God the Son, in the person of Jesus Christ, became human and was born of a virgin; lived a sinless life; died a literal death; was bodily resurrected and ascended into heaven. (Luke 1:34-35; 1 Peter 2:24; Romans 4:24-25; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

5) We believe that all are sinners. We are hopeless without accepting the salvation offered through Jesus Christ’s shed blood. Salvation is a free gift obtained by faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior and not acquired by good works. (Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9, 13, 17; Titus 3:5; Ephesians 2:8-9)

6) We believe that marriage was created by God, and it is intended to be a sacred life-long union between one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-5) We believe God is perfect and makes no mistakes. He created each person with a correct gender given at birth. (Psalm 18:30; Psalm 149:14)

7) We believe that any form of sexual immorality including adultery, fornication, homosexuality, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, and use of pornography is sinful and offensive to God. (Exodus 20:14; 1 Corinthians 6:18; Leviticus 18:22; Romans 1:18-32; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Exodus 22:19; Colossians 3:5; Hebrews 13:4)

8) We seek to love all people in Jesus’ name, pointing them towards Christ’s power to forgive and heal. (Genesis 1:26-28; Matthew 15:18-20; Ephesians 5:22-32; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:9-20; Romans 1-18-32)
