FAQs

Q:

What activities are available to members?

A:

Families are strongly encouraged to attend all J.A.M. club meetings and/or parent meetings.

Picnics A great time for families to relax and enjoy time together!

J.A.M. Club (Stands for “Jesus and Me.” We want to include Him in all we do.) Our monthly group meeting we encourage every family to regularly attend that opens with all ages interactive music class, including learning songs to be performed at the end of the year. Also includes the monthly birthday celebration and time for small group activities. It is vital that all parents commit to a JAM volunteer role so we can all share responsibilities.

Field Trips Scheduled monthly, we strive to make most field trips free or low cost. Field trips are chosen at planning meetings.

Breckenridge Family Community Center (Winter sledding/skating and after some field trips) Pack a sack lunch and meet for time for kids to play & parents to chat. Activities include sledding, ice skating, skate park, playing on the hill, board games, game room with pool (ages 10+), air hockey, foosball & ping pong. Facility rental is included in your membership.

Parent Meetings Parents are encouraged to attend a once a month Tuesday evening of fellowship to support each other as homeschooling parents and continue to build a supportive homeschool community. Meetings include a variety of activities: curriculum sharing, guest speakers, game nights, planning sessions, bonfires & yard games…

Teen Activities A time for students in 6th-12th grade to gather for social events, academic enrichment, and service opportunities.

Year Fair Every spring, the students have an opportunity to present and/or display something they have been working on or interested in during the school year, and our J.A.M. Club songs are performed.

Q:

Is every year the same?

A:

Every year is a little different. It all depends on what families are interested in, and if there are volunteers available to make it happen. Some years we have had STEM classes, Career Exploration with field trips, Student Council, PhyEd Classes, Fall Festival, or themed events (such as pioneer/old fashioned games & activities).

Q:

Are there group events in the summer?

A:

Yes! Although summer events are optional, a good amount of families enjoy gathering once a month at the park in the summer. Depending on interest, families may choose to plan extra field trips or gatherings.
