How to Join

If you are interested in joining the St. Anthony Mary Claret (SAMC) Homeschool Ministry, you'll need to submit an interest form so that we can contact you to discuss the organization and answer your questions.  Should you decide to join, we will guide you through membership registration for SAMC Homeschool Ministry.  If you would like to join Laude Homeschool Co-op and space is available, we will guide you through that process as well.  The steps of membership registration include:

1. Submit online membership registration form for SAMC Homeschool Ministry and wait for approval notice.

2. If applicable, submit Laude Homeschool Co-op membership registration form.

3. Pay the appropriate membership fees, which are $25 for Homeschool Ministry and $25 for Laude Homeschool Co-op.  Note that all Laude Co-op members must be members of SAMC Homeschool Ministry.

4. Primary Parent/Guardian must complete safe environment training at www.virtus.org (including the online background check authorization, online acknowledgement of the "Code of Conduct," a "Harassment" training, the "Protecting God's Children" training, and the "Vulnerable Adults" training) and submit all three training certificates to the Membership Registration section of the HSM/Laude member website.  Document submission is required in order to be cleared for ministry participation and/or to be cleared to register for Laude Co-op class registration.

5. Primary Parent/Guardian must read the "Policy for Ministering to Minors" of the Archdiocese of San Antonio and print, complete, and upload the acknowledgment form to the Membership Registration section of the member website.  Document submission required in order to be cleared for ministry participation and/or to be cleared to register for Laude Co-op class registration.

6. If Secondary Parent/Guardian will escort children to Homeschool ministry events without the primary parent, volunteer for Homeschool Ministry events, volunteer or serve duty hours for Laude Co-op, or teach/assist for Laude Co-op, then he or she must complete safe environment training at www.virtus.org (including the online background check authorization, online acknowledgement of the "Code of Conduct," a "Harassment" training, the "Protecting God's Children" training, and the "Vulnerable Adults" training) and submit all three training certificates to the Membership Registration section of the member website.

8. Complete and submit all of the registration forms required for attendance, which include but are not limited to authorizations for emergency medical treatment, injury liability waivers, and photograph releases.  Documents will be posted soon for you to print, complete, and submit.

9. If enrolling in Laude Co-op classes, then complete the duty hours sign up process.  Completion required in order to be cleared to register for classes.

10. If enrolling in Laude Co-op classes, then register for classes.
