Mission Statement
Heartland Homeschool Collaborative provides respectful and inclusive Faith Based support, activities, and resources for homeschooling families in the Mid-Missouri region.

Heartland Homeschool Collaborative Values
• We value the diverse nature of our members and families.
We are committed to creating and nurturing an inclusive, diverse, and affirming homeschool community for every student and family, regardless of nation of origin, race, immigration status, religious affiliation (Christian faith belief systems) or disability status.
• We value community, connection, and belonging.
We encourage our community through affirming actions, language and service.
• We value service to community.
We consider service the foundation of our Heartland Homeschool Collaborative community. Each member’s volunteer contributions are essential to build our community.
• We value accountability to self and to community.
We challenge ourselves and each other to understand and correct any inequities we may discover and gain a better understanding of ourselves during this purposeful process.

How does Heartland Homeschool Collaborative function and operate?
Heartland Homeschool Collaborative (may be referred to in the Handbook as Heartland, HHC or Co-Op) functions and operates as a co-op of parents.

What is a Co-op?
Co-op is a true collaborative effort of our members to provide enrichment opportunities to our children. It allows the kids to learn accountability and study skills in a fun group environment and the opportunity to develop friendships. Likewise, a co-op provides a community for parents to fellowship with one another. The purpose of HHC is to encourage and engage with the local community of Christian homeschool families through educational and enrichment opportunities. HHC does NOT replace parental instruction at home.

When and Where is Co-op?
HHC is primarily located in Callaway County and most events will be held in Callaway County, at times there may be field trips or activities in adjoining counties including: Cole, Boone, Audrain and Montgomery. At no point should more than 15% of events be held outside Callaway County, Missouri.
HHC meets on Friday’s from 10:30am to 1:30pm for Unit Studies (See schedule for the year). Co-op runs August 15th through June 15th with several breaks observed throughout the year. Please do not contact any event facility where HHC may meet as they will not have any details about HHC events for information use heartland.homeschool.mo@gmail.com

Who can join?
Registration applications are open to all homeschooling families with a private invitation into HHC OR at least one child age five or older (By July 1st) who are willing to uphold the ideals of HHC if they have been homeschooled for a minimum of 1 year OR they are a minimum of 7 years old, agree to the Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith, comply with Missouri’s homeschool laws and agree to sign off on other required forms. Potential members must also understand the commitment that they are signing up for when they choose to join the co-op. HHC is not a drop off program. Every family must have at least one parent or guardian on site for every event, and the parent/guardian must be participating in serve positions during that time.
