Mrs. Jenny Bucy
Jennifer Bucy graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in 2009. She has taught preschool and older children in her one-room schoolhouse in Advance for many years. Science is one of her favorite subjects! She loves nature and learning with the kiddos, and always has lots of fun things to bring to the classroom.
Mrs. Sarah Crail
Sarah Crail has a BS in English Education with TESL and an MS in Biblical Counseling. She lived in Puerto Rico for 10 years and taught in a Christian school there. Sarah had a strong foundation in high school Spanish and took some additional Spanish in college. This foundation prepared her for living and working in Puerto Rico where she gained greater fluency in the language. Sarah now works primarily in professional photography and homeschools her teenage sister.
Mrs. Karen Dehut
Karen Dehut graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2011 with a BA in Art Education (K-12). In college, she worked at a paint-your-own-pottery studio and taught art classes on the side. She taught middle school art for a year before moving to Indiana and growing her family. Karen now homeschools her three children and teaches art classes periodically for homeschooling friends and family. She looks to God as the Master artist and stands in awe of the design and beauty around her. She loves sharing that with her students as they grow in observation, technique, and creative expression.
Mr. Andrew Foland
Andrew Foland graduated with his Doctorate and Master degrees in Christian Apologetics from Southern Evangelical Seminary in 2025 and 2007 respectively. He taught Christian Apologetics, Philosophy, and Ethics at Crossroads Bible College from 2007-2010. Afterward, he ministered at Fellowship Bible Church as the Christian Education Pastor. Currently, he works in campus ministry as an apologist with Ratio Christi (Reason of Christ) Ministries where he serves as both a Chapter Formation Coach and as the Chapter Director on the campus of Purdue University. Additionally, Andy is a certified teacher for Norman Geisler International Ministires (NGIM) and Anchorsaway Ministries. His various ministries have always involved heavy doses of teaching, something about which Andy is passionate! He loves equipping Christian students as well as dialoging with non-Christians.
Mrs. Lori Gaiffe
Lori Gaiffe, M.Ed., a former K-12 teacher. Lori homeschooled her two sons, who are now graduated. As an experienced IEW (Institute for Excellence in Writing) Instructor, Lori has watched her students make tremendous progress. Students will gain valuable tools to improve their writing while having fun.
Mrs. Abby Greci
Abby Greci graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 2005. She taught 4th grade and kindergarten prior to staying home with her girls, and is currently teaching preschool two mornings a week. She started homeschooling in 2020.
Mrs. Kaila Harkins
Kaila Harkins is a wife to Jon and mother to their four children. She earned a dual degree in Elementary and Special Education from IUPUI in 2009, and after graduating, transitioned from academia to motherhood and homeschooling, which greatly shaped her teaching philosophy. Over the past two years, Kaila has taught in hybrid schools, where she has worked with students from K-8, though her passion lies in teaching science. She is particularly drawn to exploring God's design and order in the world, from the smallest atoms to grandest landforms, and aims to provide a rich education grounded in truth, beauty, and goodness. She loves to foster hands-on learning, collaboration, and critical thinking, always encouraging students to see the Creator's hand in all things.
Mrs. Stacy Helton
Stacy Helton has been performing on stage since she was two years old. She has performed many diverse roles, and has experience with script-writing, directing, and stage management. Acting is one of her greatest joys in life, and she is excited to share her love of theater with the students. Stacy earned her B.A. from Eureka College in 2001, and has been homeschooling her children since 2014. She has graduated three of her four children. Stacy also teaches high school speech at GCA (once every three years).
Mrs. Wendy Reasoner
Wendy Reasoner homeschooled her five children, all of whom have graduated high school, for 20 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Lock Haven University, PA and masters and PhD degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She has held faculty positions at the University of Tennessee, Texas Christian University and Bethel University as well as teaching at home school academies and co-ops in Minnesota and Indiana. She enjoys passing on her love of science and studying God's creation and wants students to see that science can be exciting and fun.
Mrs. Jessica Wilson
Jessica Wilson loves math and loves teaching. Before homeschooling her six children, she taught at Everett Community College in Washington. She holds a B.S.Ed. from the University of Kansas and M.S. Applied Mathematics from the University of Missouri.
