About Us

Arise was never meant to be a program people attend. It was meant to be a community people help build.

Arise Collaborative Academy is a homeschool community where families gather weekly for enrichment classes, collaborative learning, and shared community life. Students of many ages learn alongside one another, from the early elementary years through the high school journey.

We believe education is not meant to be carried alone. Learning stretches further when it is shared. Children grow best when they are surrounded not only by ideas, but by people committed to showing up — consistently, humbly, together.

Arise exists for families who want more than isolated learning. For those who value structure but also space to breathe. For those who understand that responsibility deepens belonging.

Our community is volunteer-powered. Parents remain on-site. Teaching roles are filled by members of the community, and every family contributes in meaningful ways to the life of Arise. Leadership provides the framework, but families give it life.

Many families first come for the classes. They stay because something deeper begins to take root.

What Happens on Thursdays

Our shared learning happens each Thursday during Enrichment Days, a weekly rhythm designed for exploration, creativity, and collaboration.

Each Thursday, students participate in two class periods, choosing from a range of classes offered during each period. Classes are led by members of the community and designed to encourage hands-on learning, skill-building, and collaboration across peer age groups. The morning concludes with shared lunch and community time.

Classes are offered for students across elementary, middle, and high school levels, with growing opportunities designed to challenge and engage older students.

As Students Grow

One of the strengths of a multi-age community is that students naturally grow into new roles over time.

Younger students arrive ready to explore and learn. As they grow older, they begin taking on more responsibility within the community — helping in classes, assisting younger students, contributing ideas, and sometimes even sharing skills or projects of their own.

As our students move into the middle and high school years, we continue building opportunities that allow them to go deeper — through projects, skill-based classes, and increasing ownership of their learning. Because Arise is a community shaped by the families within it, these opportunities often grow directly from the interests, gifts, and initiative of the students and parents who are part of it.

In this way, older students are not only participants in the community — they help shape it.

Our Rhythm

Arise follows a six-weeks-on, one-week-off rhythm throughout the academic year.

Each six-week quarter is followed by a built-in Sabbath Week break, giving students, families, and teachers time to rest and reset before beginning the next learning cycle.

The school year typically runs from late August through April, aligning loosely with traditional academic calendars while maintaining this intentional rhythm.

The Heart of Arise

Arise is not rigid. But it is intentional.

It is a place where families gather to learn, serve, and grow together — not as consumers of a program, but as contributors to a shared community.

If this vision resonates with you, you may find your family belongs here.
