Mrs. Karen Sechrist To All Instructors

Karen Sechrist and her family recently moved to Arizona in 2022 from West Palm Beach, Florida. Karen graduated from ASU (Appalachian State University) in North Carolina and started teaching in 2003. She taught high school English, AVID and Health at a public school in Charlotte, NC. She was also their high school head coach for the girls’ Lacrosse team and Asst. coach for the girls’ JV and Varsity soccer teams. A career change was made after she went back to school for nursing. She joined the staff at a pulmonology and heart clinic, in Charlotte, NC until she started her family. Ms. Sechrist is married to her husband Brandon, and has 3 children Mia, Brittyn and Charlie. Karen has been homeschooling since 2018. She has helped many families and has been involved with many co-ops back in NC, and Florida. When she isn’t homeschooling or teaching at The Grove, you can find her backstage at dance competitions, being team mom for her sons baseball team, spending long hours at casting calls and tech weeks with her daughter at the theatre, taking trips to the beach (something she misses the most from Florida), and always finding ways to teach and explore God’s amazing world.
