Mrs. Katelyn Rachoy To All Instructors
Orchestra Director & Music Educator
With over 15 years of experience in music education, Katelyn Rachoy has had the privilege of teaching orchestra at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. Holding a degree in Music Education from the University of Arizona and an Arizona State Teaching Certificate, Mrs. Rachoy is passionate about helping students discover the profound joy of music study.
Mrs. Rachoy believes that music is an innate part of humanity, and as God commands us to worship through song, music education is an essential and vital experience for all students. By nurturing a love for music, she strives to foster an environment where students can not only develop their musical skills but also strengthen their creative gifts.
In addition to teaching full-time at a Christian high school, Mrs. Rachoy has worked as a substitute teacher in the Mesa Public Schools system, gaining experience in general music instruction. She also taught small group early education violin classes through the String Project at the University of Arizona and has years of experience teaching private violin and viola lessons.
Mrs. Rachoy is an Arizona native and studied viola from age 7, studying with private lessons, taking daily orchestra classes, playing in weekly youth symphonies, and attending summer quartet camps. She regularly participated in honor orchestra concerts, Regional and All State festivals, and viola competitions.
Katelyn lives in Mesa with her husband and son and is an active member of Grace Bible Church of Phoenix, where she serves in the nursery and plays viola with the worship team.
