What is EDay?

Enrichment Day (EDay) is the day ACCHS members come together and collaborate to offer classes with the goal of supplementing the core education parents are already offering their children at home.

Currently held one day a week for ten weeks in the fall and spring semesters, there is usually at least one class each hour for each age group (Preschool, K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8, 9-12).  Families are welcome to register for only part of the day, but parents are required to stay at the facility and volunteer at least one of the three class hours.  We are a family community and feel it is important for all parents to know each other and be familiar with the other kids their children are spending class time with.  First-year parents can help by assisting in a class, staffing the nursery, or cleaning.  Veteran parents are encouraged, but not required, to teach a class or two. We all have areas of interest and expertise that our students and others can enjoy learning about!

At the end of the school year, a performance is held for classes to display the knowledge and skills they have learned.  The drama class also performs a play each spring open to all ACCHS families to attend.
