Ashe Schools for Home Education (ASHE) provides programs at Friendship Baptist Church (FBC) in Jefferson, for the purpose of enhancing the learning of homeschooled students. Our goals are to promote the common interests of ASHE members, and provide encouragement, support, and guidance to homeschooling families living in Ashe County and surrounding areas. We are a Christian homeschool group, but are open to all homeschooling families, regardless of religion, who agree to abide by the following ASHE Parent Agreement. Our guidelines are based on the following biblical principles:
-
Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. (Romans 15:7)
-
Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. (1 Peter 4:9)
-
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. (1 Peter 4:10)
-
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. (Ephesians 4:2)
-
Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. (Colossians 3:13)
-
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ. (Romans 15:5)
