How do I apply/What is the application process? |

Click HERE to request an application. At the end of the application families will have an opportunity to request a visit or attend an informational meeting. The board will review applications and families will be notified via email of their acceptance to the co-op and any necessary next steps. |

Why was H.O.M.E. started? |
A: |
The board members all members of the local homeschool community and met through the Lake Wylie Community Bible Study or through other coops. They saw the need for a local cooperative that provided a safe space for homeschool families to learn, grow, and find community. |

When does the school year run? |

Classes meet on Thursdays from August 20, 2026 until May 6, 2027. |

How large is H.O.M.E? |

Approximately 150 people will attend H.O.M.E on Thursdays. |

Will there be core classes or electives offered? |

H.O.M.E. offers both core and elective courses for grades K-12. |

Will there be meetings outside of class time? |

Yes! We offer optional meetings, field trips, moms' nights out and more outside of our scheduled class day. These will be throughout the year and throughout the region in an attempt to accommodate all families in our community. |

How much does it cost to be a part of H.O.M.E.? |

Each online payment will incur a $5 PayPal fee to cover the cost to HOME for processing online. There is no convenience fee applied to cash payments. Please contact the treasurer if you wish to pay in cash. We do not accept checks. Click HERE to make a payment |

What is the cost to drop off a teen student? |

A teen can be dropped off at Co-op at 9AM and picked up at 1:00PM

Will I be expected to teach? |
A: |
All parents are asked to consider teaching a class, but there will be positions available as classroom assistants as well. Participating parents will be asked to work in a classroom (or nursery or preschool) for two out of three class periods. Parents will get to enjoy one free period to socialize with other coop parents. Parents are expected to remain on site for the entire coop time. |

Is there a fee to apply, or do I pay when I'm registered? |

There is no fee to apply. You pay after acceptance. |

When will H.O.M.E. Coop meet? |
A: |
H.O.M.E. Coop meets weekly on Thursdays from 9am-1pm with cleaning responsibilities from 1pm-approximately 1:30. All families need to leave the premises no later than 2pm. |

What time will H.O.M.E. meet each week, and what does the daily schedule look like? |

H.O.M.E. Coop meets from 9am-2pm. We have 3 periods that will end at 1pm. From 1pm-2pm there will be cleaning responsibilities and social time. |
