Meet Bandit, Our Mascot!
Bandit the raccoon isn’t just our fun, furry friend...he embodies qualities we can all admire and aspire to. Raccoons are curious, clever, and resourceful, reminding us to approach learning and life with creativity and persistence. Just like Bandit, we are called to explore the world with wisdom and discernment and "steal" hearts for Jesus:
-
Curiosity & Learning: Raccoons are naturally curious, always exploring. Proverbs 18:15 says, “The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out.” Like Bandit, we embrace curiosity in our studies and our faith.
-
Resourcefulness & Perseverance: Raccoons are clever problem-solvers, finding solutions in unexpected ways. James 1:5 reminds us, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” Bandit teaches us to rely on God’s guidance as we navigate challenges.
-
Playfulness & Community: Raccoons often work together and communicate with their family groups. Romans 12:10 encourages us to “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” Bandit’s playful spirit reminds us to build a joyful and supportive community.
Bandit the raccoon is more than a mascot! He’s a symbol of curiosity, cleverness, and community, all grounded in God’s word.
